Dear PCP crew,

I was wondering why some people PRETEND to be pagan? I was on the myspace Paganism chatroom the other day ( I am on there often) and I noticed one individual who was talking in caps about how she’s wiccan and this and that so I began to question her about Gardner and inititiation. To my dismay, not only was she not initiated, she did not even know what inititation was nor who Gardner was! To claim to be wiccan and then not know Gardner, GARDNER of all people! Needless to say, that was stupid of her to make such claims. But I wonder why she did it? Surely such negative attention is not what she wants? And if so, why in the world does she want that kind of attention? Why in the world do people think it’s “cool”? Because it’s rebellious? Oh and then she said something to the effect of “wicca has no rules”. I called her on that as well. What a tard.

Anyways, I hope this provokes discussion.

Sincerely,

Nick.

Merry Meet,

My name is Leo Flamehand, and I ask for a few minutes of your time..a few minutes of your day to listen to a fellow Peer in the Path, who needs help, not of money, but of simply intelligence, and willingness to help.

As you may know I am only a mere 14 years of age, a relativly young age for someone with Dreams such as mine. I look at my Community, and at my Path and see things that noone is really willing to stand up for, that noone is ready to stand up and say, It’s time to change this. And this, this thing that I see such a problem to our Community, is that there is this Gap, so large between those below the 18 who follow the Path, and those over the Age of 18. A cut-off, bitter most of the time. Due to the fact that most are scared of Legal action, or something similar..with good reason..

But I am ready to make a Stand, and to say that this is WRONG. That we are scarred to educate our Youth, the Next Generation of our Path, those who will carry our knowledge forward and then pass it on to the Next. Go out on the street, and ask a teenager what a Pagan is, and I nearly garuntee that you will recieve a bewildered look. It is time to stand up and say that we are willing to educate, and that we are going to do something about it! That even within our own Community, even those who have parents accepting of their Path, and Parents that are Pagan as well, there is such a Gap. Almost of Blantant disrespect for Youth, and the wonders and change it can bring into our Community. Into our World. The wonders of bringing the two Groups together, and educating those on Both sides of the Problems that need to be fixed, and those can be bettered. Education of those who seem to have a wrong idea of the Pagan Path, that it’s filled with “Evil, Hate Spells, Devil Worship, ect”, It’s TIME to say that we can stand Up. And make a differance. and while we may not be able to teach those whose parents are completely against us, we can still send our message to them, and those within our own Community, who call themselves Pagan but have no idea what it means, that we will take them under our wing, and truly show that we care about our Youth! Other religions do it, why not us?

I propose the formation of a new 501 3C non-profit organization called the Young Tree Pagan Educational Grove, in which we provide the oppurtunity for both teens and parents alike to grow and learn! Where legal issues aren’t the main issue, and we aren’t constantly looking over our shoulder. Where we can stand as a Family, one big Family and say that we are willing to stand up for our Rights as Human Beings, and provide the rescources our Chlidren need, and a place where all families can come when in need, and when they need help. Where there is Equal Education For All, and Everyone has something to contribute! Where we can make a differance though educational events, programs, conferences, websites, email campains, and everything else we can think of to get our voices heard!Where teens who are scarred to tell their Parents of their Path can come and show them what its all about, where they have rescources to know just how passionate, and friendly we are about our religion. And to show that no matter who you are,no matter what age, color, race, or class you have a choice in religion I have considered all the different aspects of this project including the size, legalities, ect..?If we dont educate the next generation, and truly show them what our religion is about, then who will? Will the movies teach them? Will the media? When will we stand up and say ENOUGH

Together we can make this a strong group, a strong rescource! Something everyone is willing to learn together as we build it, and something we all want to be a part of! We need a strong base for this, people with legal knowledge, knowledge of the Craft, and many other religion, people good with words, people who are ambitious and outspoken! Podcasts to deliver our message…

I encourage you to pass this along to your friends, and if you would like to help make this happen let me know! Stand up, and let YOUR VOICE be heard!

If you trash this message I hold no grudge against you, but I hope that you carry some of what I have said with you.. Imagine, with just an hour of work with this group a day. You could save someone from the pain of not being able to show who they really are, of not having to worry about being discovered! With just that, you could change a life

Brightest Blessings

-Someone trying to make a differance

One of the ideas for getting out our messages is to simply have crazy looking t-shirts created, with a message on the back..then all we have to do is walk around the mall, or other public place. We dont even have to speak to anyone! With 75 people walking though the mall or department store, you could deliver a really strong message, and people would be very interested! Simple things like this are inexspensive, and work better than a billboard even!

Also…Young Tree Camp 2008 is the event I would like to plan to truly kickstart things, and to be able to fund a lot of the different projects we would do..Also a special networking website just for these teens, that they would be able to join after attending an event, (to keep away predators)…
