Hey there, I *love* your podcast!!
Dave, this is kinda random, but at when y’all were talking about Irish Punk (21:59), and you mentioned an Irish Industrial band, could it have been Flogging Molly you were thinking of? (If it was, then you have great taste in music ;P)
Just thought I’d mention it ^_^
Happy Podcasting!
Dave of PCP Wrote:
Flogging Molly indeed it was!

Ahh, the old Christmas-before-Thanksgiving retail fun. I remember it well, having worked at Walmart…they’d get shipments in July of that stuff, and it would sit in the back until Oct. 12 (Columbus Day). Then they could start putting it out.
Also, I burst out laughing when someone asked if their soul was really Tetsusaiga…I didn’t really want to have to explain that to my coworkers.
I agree with Amber. The surplus population needs to go away. Though I think I might disagree with the method.
The gene pool does need a bit more chlorine…

Flogging Molly is amazing.
A great point was brought up in this episode, that all to often people who are looking for resources on mythology and pre-christian religions tend to go straight to the metaphysical section of the book store, but the best place to go is the history or classic texts section. Most stores offer great books like the Tao ti ching, I ching, tibetin book of the dead, the eddas, the illiad, etc. These are all gold mines for information on great mythology and teachings of ancient or pre-christian religions. I'm really glad it was brought up.

I agree. The heroes tales of the ancient greeks are great resources if you want to learn about the gods and the greek mindset of the time.

On forums and Pagan podcasters ask section. My opinion, not someone willing to do the work mind you, is forums would be really useful if all podhosters shared one site with their own topic areas. I really couldn’t keep up with every podhosters website and forums but if we had one central place to build that community….

I kind of like having this forum though.

Each podcast does have its own community. Sometimes our communities overlap, but often they do not. I don't think the kind folks that listen to Occult Podcasts just to see what topics are out there would have much common ground with our BS hammers here around PCP.

And when they do, you get people like Taylor Ellwood. The BS hammers really came out that episode.
